Russell Luttrell joined BLC in January of 2017 as the Property & Casualty practice leader with the goal of updating and diversifying the commercial offering for our clients. Russell is a second-generation risk management professional who began his career with Central Insurance companies in 2008. He was tapped to help lead FCCI’s expansion into Texas in 2012. His carrier background includes underwriting, claims, marketing, & management. He has experience bringing multiple stakeholders together to provide solutions in re-insurance, form language, agency appointments, budgeting, & state expansions. He sees insurance as a community of people called to provide help during difficult times and he strives to keep the focus on the policy holder’s needs. Russell is a graduate of Texas Tech University with degrees in History & Economics. He completed the prestigious Gupta College of Business management program in 2018. Russell is a licensed property & casualty agent, along with having his CPCU, CIC, AU, & AINS designations. He has served on the boards of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas, McKinney Young Professionals, and agencies councils for Accident Fund, United Fire Group & Liberty Mutual. Russell is the 2020 winner of the IIAT Andre Juneau EliteTexan Young Agent of the year award.
Russell is passionate about the community he lives in, spending time with the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, Embrace Texas & local Leukemia/Lymphoma society. He lives in McKinney with his wife, Marie, and children Turner, William & Rhys.
He loves spending time with his family, playing bad golf, traveling to eat good food, & watching his Red Raiders.
